A very good physical fitness is required to climb to the summit of Damavand Mountain 5671 meters and an ordinary physical fitness is necessary to ascend to the Camp 3 4250 meters.

Any of the following sport activities or a combination of them are useful to get ready for ascend to Mt Damavand peak.

The best places to do these exercises, if you have any access, are mountains and hills.

- Walking for 2 hours 3 times a week.
- Running (slowly) for 1 to 2 hours twice a week.
