Q- Using public transportation, what is best way to go to Sisakht Town for trekking Mt Dena in Zagros Mountain Range?
A- Take a bus (or flight) from any major city near the area to Yasuj City.

Q- Could You explain what kind of place is Sisakht Hut?
A- It is an ordinary mountain resort for those who intend to climb Mt dena from south route.

Q- Is it possible to by food in Sisakht Camp?
A- Yes, you can find some food at Sisakht Town closed to the campsite.

Q- Could you suggest interesting trekking/climbing routes in Zagros Mountains near Shiraz?
A- I recommend Dena (Hovz Dall) Peak 4350m.

Shiraz> Yasuj> Sisakht.
Sisakht Town is located 30 Km from Yasuj City.
Starting from Sisakht to the Dena summit through Bozkosh Valley.

Q- Is it possible to get a topographic map of the area around Sisakht?
A- I have no idea, if you search you may find one.

Q- Is Sisakht Resort open in April?
A- Yes, it is open in all seasons.

Mt Dena in Zagros Mountains Iran Q&A3

Q- What routes and itinerary would you suggest for a 3-day walk on Mt dena?
A- You may try the followin itinerary for 3 days trek in the area:

Day1- Start from Sisakht town through Bozkosh Valley to Cheshmeh Pouneh Campsite. Over night at the refuge or your tent.
Day2- Trek to Dena (Hovzdal) Peak continue to Bijan1, Hera and Bijan2 summits and return back to Cheshmeh Pouneh campsite. Over night at the shelter or tent.
Day3- Return back to the Sisakht Resort. O/N at the Sisakht hut.

Q- Do you think I'd need a guide for trekking to Mt Dena summit or is it relatively easy to try it alone?
A- In a clear day with good visibility you can do it alone, but it is preferred to use a guide.

Q- Is it possible to buy camping gas in Esfahan, Shiraz or Sisakht?
A- You can buy different gas cartridges in Tehran, Esfahan and Shiraz, but not sure about Sisakht Town.

Thansk for all these good answers about Mt Dena.

About the weather and snow conditions[undefined=undefined][undefined=undefined] in april [/undefined][/undefined]for the south Side between Sisakht and the summit of Hozdall and Gash Mashtan, does someone could provide some informations ?
Do we need clamps ? Ropes ? ice Axes ?

Welcome to Damavand Forum.

Sorry for late reply.
In general terms harness, rope, helmet, carabiner are not necessary in that period.
But bring ice axe and crampons in case you need it.
If you have any extra stuff, you may leave them at your hotel/Sisakht.
